A “cross-up’, he explained at the newly-established BMX track at the northern end of Koonung Rd., Blackburn North,
was a jump in which the rider propelled the bike into the air and changed direction by “crossing”.

Shaun, 19, and several other local Blackburn BMX riders were guests on a recent GTV9 Don Lane show to demonstrate
riding techniques.
Shaun, who is a member of the "Crank and Chain" BMX Club at Lalor will next weekend be competing in the Victorian
Age Plate titles for riders from throughout Victoria.

BMX riding, Shaun explains, caters for boys and girls from the age of 5 to 21 and the new track at Blackburn North is
proving very popular.
